
This course provides student pilots with a comprehensive understanding of the atmospheric processes that affect flight operations. Topics include atmospheric composition, pressure systems, clouds and precipitation, thunderstorms, icing, turbulence, wind systems, frontal weather, visibility phenomena, and the interpretation of aviation weather reports and forecasts (METAR, TAF, SIGMET).
By the end of the course, students will be able to analyse weather patterns, assess weather-related risks, and apply meteorological information to safe and efficient flight planning and decision-making in accordance with EASA ATPL(A) theoretical knowledge requirements.
